Happy Birthday Miss Caitlin

Happy Birthday gorgeous girl x

Turning 8 is a big deal... don't we know it! Caitlin's birthday wish list included a laptop and an iPod Nano. She didn't get either, but was quiet happy with all the gorgeous gifts she did get.

Swimming in the morning. Cooking in the afternoon courtesy of her very own Cooking 4 Kids cookbook. And of course, birthday cake after dinner!

Poor little William was so sick he didn't even eat any of your birthday cake. You know he must be really unwell if he knocks back chocolate cake.

Beach Mini Album

These photos were taken over 2 years ago. I always enjoy going back in time... comparing how the kids, and Russ and I have changed too. Sometimes it's good to get reflective.

~ Sensational win by the Doggies on Friday night. How good was Hazam El Mazri's first try?! Awesome!

~ YAY for the Bombers who are now in the top 8! It's been a long hard road to get there... let's hope they can make the final series this year.

~ Went to Miss Tracy's on Saturday for Lauren's 18th. What a terrific day. The house was a buzz with excitment, and when the party begin when the sun went down and the 18-something teenagers arrived it was party central. Tops day/night.

~ Had a family photo taken on Sunday morning as part of a fundraiser for William's pre-school. It was at 9am and given we all had a very late night I think we should have just rolled up in our pjs! The bags under the eyes are not going to be pretty!

Our Little House

I decided to do a mini album in the shape of a little house on all the mess and imperfections around our home... like the clothes dryer that is still on the wall in the laundry even though it hasn't worked for 8 years. The missing tile in the bathroom. The hail damage to our back patio that is still to be fixed, 5 years after the event! Then there's the 'I love William' declaration on Caitlin's bedroom wall. The garden with no plants. The down light that hangs out of the ceiling rather than sitting nicely in it. The list goes on....

Thanks to Michael from Slice of Life Photography for taking such gorgeous photos for me. Love your work!

2 more layouts...

Basic Grey Wisteria is so pretty. It's soft. It's feminine. And it was perfect for this layout of Cath.

I've done this one for the June challenge at Little Scrapbook Shops Gym, Sauna and Spa. I was being a bit cheeky and having a bit of fun with scrapping myself.

Love Dark Room Door papers... very noice indeed.

Christmas In July with Scrap Girls

It's almost time to pack up Little Scrapbook Shop and head to Stanwell Tops for Scrap Girls Christmas in July Retreat. It's going to be fantastic, as Scrap Girls Retreats always are.

There will be classes and challenge kits and games and food galore! I can't wait.

Kylie gave me a challenge kit to do some samples with for the retreat. Here's what I came up with from just one kit!

I'll be looking forward to seeing what everyone creates with their challenge kit at the retreat.

Happy Birthday to Me!

38! Really truly 38. I can't believe it. The years are flying by way too fast.

On Sunday we took a drive up to Wiseman's Ferry. It wasn't too bad when we first go there, but within 30 minutes the temp dropped and I thought we were all going to turn into ice cubes!

Had a great day, and what could be better than seeing your 2 kids this happy and enjoying each other? Not much I'd say.

And just how stunning are my new pjs from the kids? Love 'em!

Just Us...

This photo was taken of Russ and I on Saturday up at the Comerfords. What a differnce 12 months can make.

Russ has now lost 23kgs and I've lost 14! How tops are we!

Still going on the weight loss, but closer to the finish now than the start.

Disco Kids

If there is one event on the school social calendar that these kids look forward too, it's the school disco.

Caitlin goes to dance, and William goes for the glow stick, popper and packet of chips lol.

They both had a great night, and I even caught them having a wee dance together! So cute!
